Backyard Collages

This duo of collages was inspired by the weeds that popped up in my backyard in the spring of 2020. I photographed them while spending much of my time the yard during that turbulent time. I was drawn to the vitality of the weeds and the intricate textures and colors they formed. For the collage material, I used Coloraid paper swatches, which offer a beautiful rich range of colors to work with. One of the collages was featured in the show, Small Works, at Soft Times Gallery in 2022.
