Oil Portraits

This series of portraits was created between 2012 and 2013, using a combination of live sittings and photographic references. I am drawn to the psychological aspect of portraiture, seeking to capture aspects of the sitter’s personality and mood. Throughout the series, I experimented with brushwork and explored the relationship between the sitter and their background.
